About

Theatrical Arts, is an artistic organization based off of Culpeper, VA, in the Central Virginia Region. Working towards becoming a non-profit; it was founded by Adriana Bustamante, in the hopes of providing education and performance opportunities for all children and teens in acting, singing, choreography, and the visual arts.

Theatrical Arts started with Christmas Caroling (Theatrical Artists Do Christmas Carols!), after most original members met at a local theatre production then directed by Adriana, where they wanted to remain close and spread Christmas cheer in the holiday season. Soon after, they caroled around Culpeper, in the streets, nursing homes, homeless shelters, sick visits at homes, and the hospital. Word got around of the newly formed artistic group and their singing.  The second year of this program was filled with many invitations to important local and state events, such as the Culpeper Holiday Open House, Culpeper Hospital’s Lights of Love celebration, a live performance in local radio station WJMA 103.1, and things like the Holiday Sing Along with the President’s Own United States Marine band at Wolf Trap. Local media was all about the group, even more so as they were invited for a live interview and performance on Fox 5 DC news last Winter.

This past year, with new adult members, the group continued to receive more invitations and they kept on singing around their community. They  revisited Culpeper’s Holiday Open House, Wolf Trap, and their local radio station. They also sang in front of the National Christmas Tree in DC for the first time, a dream come true for the members of the choir as they continue to grow as an organization, troupe, and family.

They have also sang carols for the Culpeper Heat Shelter, had a live performance on the radio station 92.5 WINC FM, went caroling at Verdun Adventure Bound’s Holiday Celebration, and had another live TV performance, this time on CBS6 in Richmond.

Currently, Theatrical Arts is developing a new Fall program that will include a public performance for its conclusion.

Theatrical Arts wants to thank all for their support, and will continue to grow to show how Theatrical Arts is “Where talents and dreams come together.”
